Kathmandu. CPN-UML General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel has objected to the arrest of former Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher JBR from his residence in Maharajgunj in the middle of the night without any evidence. <\/p>\n
Pokharel said that the arrest of Rana was a serious violation of Nepal’s existing law and justice system. <\/p>\n
Writing on Facebook, Pokharel said that such acts are against the spirit of the constitution, democratic system and rule of law. <\/p>\n
Pokharel also urged everyone to be aware of wrongdoings. <\/p>\n
A team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office arrested former chief justice Rana from his residence in Maharajgunj last night. <\/p>\n
