KATHMANDU: Reliance Spinning Mills Limited, the largest export-oriented and employer company of Nepal, has announced to pay 30 percent cash dividend (including tax) in the first year of its listing on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE). <\/p>\n
The decision taken by the Board of Directors of the company on Monday will be approved by the AGM on October 8. <\/p>\n
Reliance, which has a paid-up capital of Rs 1.90 billion, will distribute Rs 570 million at the rate of 30 percent. The meeting of the Board of Directors held on Monday also approved the financial statements for the financial year 2082\/83. <\/p>\n
The company has called a AGM on October 8 at Anupam Foodland in Battisputali, Kathmandu to decide on the distribution of dividends. The company has said that the book closure will be held for one day on September 30 for the purpose of the AGM. <\/p>\n
“Shareholders who have registered their shares in NEPSE till September 27, 2083 BS will be eligible to participate in the AGM and participate in the election,” the company said in a statement. <\/p>\n
Reliance Spinning Mills, which issued an IPO through the book building method, is the largest employer and export-oriented company in Nepal. The company, which exports $50 million annually, employs about 4,000 workers. <\/p>\n
The company has been producing cotton, polyester, viscose, acrylic and textured yarn from two yarn factories located in Khanar and Duhabi of Sunsari.
