Kathmandu. Madhu Kumar Chaulagain, a lawmaker from the ruling Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has proposed the formation of a ‘judicial police’ to implement the court’s verdict. <\/p>\n
He made the proposal while speaking at a meeting of the Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee held at Singha Durbar on Thursday. <\/p>\n
He said that there is a problem in the implementation of the verdict due to the lack of manpower and resources as well as the lack of exchange of information regarding the verdict and data between the courts. Stating that the facilities provided by the law are being misused in cases where the sentence of less than one year is not easily available in the other court, he said that the same person can avail the facilities against the law in different cases as the details of imprisonment and fine in one court are not easily available in the other court. <\/p>\n
He said that due to the ineffective time limit of the court, the verdict is given to the people who did not get the opportunity to hear the case and later there are legal complications in the implementation of such verdicts. “The judicial police should be formed to implement the verdict, not the court to implement the verdict,” he said while speaking at the meeting, “Earlier, the Nepal Bar Association had also raised the issue of judicial police and the court is also interested in it.” \u2019<\/p>\n
Stating that this issue is not very big, he said that judicial police can be formed if only the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Law and the court are interested.
