Kathmandu. On the occasion of Constitution Day, night public transport service is to be expanded in the Kathmandu Valley from September 3. <\/p>\n
A total of 28 night buses are going to be operated on six different routes. A meeting of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Lalitpur Metropolitan City, Chandragiri Municipality, Budhanilkantha Municipality, Godavari Municipality, Kirtipur Municipality and Sajha Yatayat and stakeholders chaired by Acting Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Sunita Dangol took the decision to extend the night bus service. <\/p>\n
Currently, the night bus service is being operated from April 1 in coordination with Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Lalitpur Metropolitan City, Chandragiri Municipality and Budhanilkantha Municipality. <\/p>\n
The service will be operated on additional routes connecting the north-south and east-west areas of the Kathmandu Valley. As per the decision, 6 buses will be deployed from Godawari to Budhanilkantha, 6 buses from Jagati of Bhaktapur to Thamel via Ratnapark, 4 buses from Tribhuvan International Airport to Nagdhunga of Chandragiri, 4 buses from Kirtipur to Nepal Airlines Corporation via New Road and 8 buses will be operated on the Ring Road. <\/p>\n
