Kathmandu. Two people were rescued alive and a body was found in the tunnel of the Upper Trishuli-3A Hydropower Project, according to rescue workers. <\/p>\n
According to the chief of the project, Awas Ojha, the security personnel have taken out a body from the tunnel. The body is yet to be identified. <\/p>\n
A rescue team of Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, Nepal Police and Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) had rescued two people alive from the tunnel of the project. Mechanical foreman of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Sanjay Sah and supervisor Kabir Maharjan are undergoing treatment at the Nepal Army Hospital in Kathmandu. Their health condition is normal, according to the army. <\/p>\n
The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) estimates that 42 engineers and employees are trapped in the power house inside the tunnel of the Upper Trishuli 3-A project. It is estimated that most of them are in the power house. <\/p>\n
Continuous search and rescue operations are underway to see if more people can be rescued in the underground powerhouse area of the project. <\/p>\n
